This week the 10th International Meeting of dance4life takes places. Colleagues of our local partners in the 20 countries where dance4life is active come together in Amsterdam for trainings, workshops and exchanging experiences.
dance4life Kenya has launched a new website together with IICD: youth4life. On the website, young people can find information about their sexual health, relationships, sexuality and HIV. The platform is part of the World of Difference project, that is supported by the Vodafone Foundation. Read more

Last week political leaders from all over the world came to New York for the United Nations General Assembly. Mark Rutte, the Dutch Prime Minister, was among those political leaders and joined an event on young people in the Post-2015 Agenda. Together with approximately 30 young people an interactive discussion was facilitated to deepen the understanding of why young people need to be a priority in the Development agenda that follows the Millennium Development Goals. As dance4life we were honored to facilitate one of these discussions.
“We need to create a space where we can trust each other”, was one of the main ways forward proposed by the participants at the side-event on ‘Youth-Adult Partnerships in Practice’ organized on the evening before the start of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Hosted by dance4life and CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality, with support of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this side-event facilitated a space for open dialogue. Read more
dance4life is shocked and saddened by the terrible crash of the MH17 flight in Ukraine. Amongst the victims are a group of Dutch AIDS activists and researchers on their way to the International AIDS Conference in Melbourne, including two beloved colleagues of our partners STOP AIDS NOW! and Aids Fonds. Our thoughts go out to their family, friends and colleagues and we wish them strength in these difficult times.
Last Friday dance4life celebrated its 10th anniversary in Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam, together with ambassadors like Hardwell and Doutzen Kroes. All proceeds of the dinner, auction and dance event - 580.000 euros in total - go to our worldwide education projects.Read more
