Youth Council

To ensure that youth are involved in our organisation in a meaningful way, we established an international youth council in 2010. Its aim is to advise dance4ilfe on all aspects of the dance4life concept, i.e. in the strategy phase, the programming phase and implementation phase. They also represent dance4life at conferences and meetings, and support the NCOs in driving the movement by connecting with their peers

The 2010 youth council has 16 members from 10 countries, aged 16 to 24, and has a direct voice in our strategies, policies and programmes. Members of the youth council are agents4change, and have followed the dance4life programme in their country. At the beginning of their youth council term, members received a leadership training to get to know each other and prepare them for their role in the council. For the 2011-2013 youth council, dance4life will have 15 countries represented, through 15 young people! They will be supported by National Youth Councils, to also strengthen the link to young people in the community.
