The dance4life international daily board

And here are the members of our international Board, who make so much possible for us:

Peter Dirks - the Chair of the Board has worked for Unilever in the Netherlands, and as Financial Director of Unilever Greece and Unilever France. He was an executive board member, CFO, of N.V. Koninklijke Bijenkorf Beheer KBB, a major Dutch retailer, and served as employer’s representative on the Social and Economic Council of the Netherlands. Later he served on the executive board of NPO (Nederlandse Publieke Omroep – Dutch Public Broadcaster). Now he is a member of the non-executive boards of several companies and non-profit organisations.

And what does he think of dance4life? "dance4life is a unique concept that knows how to connect awareness raising, fundraising, and international solidarity by speaking directly to young people with their own language - dance."

Marjolijn Aarnoudse - Marjolijn has a broad experience in both her studies and her work. She has studied Chemical Engineering, Psychology, and Finance, and has worked in commercial management, business management, marketing and sales.

Jan Bless - Jan is a former partner in a major international law firm. Today he is active as a mediator in dispute resolutions. He thinks "dance4life is a great inspirational movement – it’s communication, it’s empowering youth, it’s a way of life” .

Antoinette Gosses - Antoinette has worked in various roles varying from reporter for Radio Netherlands World Broadcasting, Deputy Ambassador/Head Development Cooperation of the Netherlands Embassy in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia and Senior expert on sexual and reproductive health and Gender issues for the European Commission in Brussels. Besides dance4life, Antoinette is a board member for Music Mayday and PSO.

Pepijn Nicolas - Pepjin is the owner/director of Spinner and specialises in facilitating strategy development in larger organisations and in settings with multiple stakeholders. Formerly, Pepijn worked as management consultant for KPMG and for the European Network on Debt and Development. Pepijn was Chair of the Board of the Dutch Jubilee 2000 Coalition: a worldwide movement claiming debt relief for developing countries in the year 2000. An extended profile of Pepijn is available at LinkedIn.com

"Be the change you want to see," he quoted, "that's why I'm involved in dance4life. Take part, don't just stand on the touchline, watching."

The dance4life international advisory board

Members of the international advisory board include Mr. Desmond Tutu, Mr. Peter Bell, Dr. Nafis Sadik, Mr. Peter Piot, Mrs. Tumi Makgabo, Mr Dennis Karpes, Mrs Erica Terpstra, Mr Vladimir Pozner and Mr. Rien van Gendt.
