"It was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. I hadn’t experienced anything so mind-blowing in a long time. The satellite link was great, we could see all the countries dancing the Drill! And there were so many actresses/actors, musicians etc."
Alex Dairo, Dance4Life Nigeria

"It was the best day of my life, met lots of new people, and we had so much fun" Dance4Life Nigeria agent of change

There were about 500 people dancing in the open air at Ikoyi in Lagos. They were from all the four states in Nigeria where the Schools Projects took place. The groups of young people arrived early in their Dance4Life t-shirts and their school skirts and trousers. The decoration was fab and from the street you could see a Dance4Life banner and lots of decorations.

The Event took place at FantasyLand in Lagos, and within minutes of the start everyone was dancing, staying in their lines that they had been positioned in. The performers were really enthusiastically welcomed - and some of the young people in the audience were asked to join them on the stage and dance! Bonafide, 2Shotz and Kafi and Zebra Dance all performed. Kafi is now in the Guiness Book of Records for having danced for the longest, continious dance in the world, for an amazing 35 hours non-stop!!! The Dance4Life team also lead the young people in some dances like the Drill.

Stella Damascus, the actress, appeared on stage, as did the comedian Basketmouth. Three Big Brother housemates are Ambassadors of Dance4Life Nigeria, but they brought nearly all the other housemates with them to the Event! The young people in the public were AMAZED to see all these well-known icons on the stage in front of them. They are used to seeing them on TV, but hardly any of the young people had seen them in real life before, and the reaction was electric!

It was a truely fantastic event, and the youth seemed to really enjoy it. Here are some quotes from them: "Dance4Life learned me how to dance and how to be free", and "This event was good, we really had lots of fun".
