17th International AIDS Conference, Mexico City, 3 - 8 August
 Your Actions Speak Louder than Words! - Dance4Life at AIDS 2008
From 2nd August Dance4Life will be present at the International AIDS Conference, the biggest and most important conference of its type, being held in Mexico City.
And Dance4Life will be there in a typical Dance4Life way, drawing attention to the rights of young people in a way the Conference has never seen before!
dance mob (noun)
1. A dance mob is a large group of people who gather suddenly in a public place, perform a dance and then quickly leave.
 The unsuspecting conference delegates are going to be surprised when they least expect it by young people suddenly coming together in energetic and exhilarating dance mobs. Not only will the young people embody Dance4Life's theme for the conference 'Your actions speak louder than words', but they will start dancing to stop AIDS, they'll Dance4Life.
And this isn't just happening at the conference, but also downtown! At 13.00 on 5th August at the Zocalo in Mexico City, so if you're around, make sure to be part of it! Here's more information about the Flash mob!
But that’s not all! The dance mobs are only part of a whole range of different actions organised by Dance4Life in order to get those attending the conference to take action as well. Such as an interactive Dance4Life performance by Dance4Life Uganda and Dance4Life Mexico, a film screening where the audience can join in, a skills building workshop and much more!

Dance4Life Performance. Through dance, music and personal stories the performance shows what Dance4Life means to young people and how it has inspired them to take action.
August 4th: 17.30-18.30, Youth Pavilion Global Village
Skills4Life Workshop . Interactive presentation of the Dance4Life South Africa Life Skills manual and its supporting Youth notebook.
August 5th: 13.00 : Dance mob at Zocalo Square (downtown Mexico City)
The main Dance4Life dance mob ever, with DJ Oscar Velázquez! Be there and join in!
August 5th: 17.30-18.30, Youth Pavilion Global Village
Screening of several videos of Dance4Life that show how dance, education, music and creativity can inspire, mobilise and unite into action.
August 2nd – August 8th: At unexpected times and unexpected places!
Short energetic performances that provide a platform for youth to be seen and have their voices heard. For all to join in.
August 3rd –August 7th: the Dance4Life booth, Global Village, Booth 234
