dance4life at the International AIDS2010 Conference in Vienna!

dance4life international is very excited to share with you our plans for the AIDS 2010 conference in Vienna, which is now less than 2 weeks away…
The conference, which takes place every two years, is a very important moment in the HIV/AIDS world calendar. A very wide range of people from all over the world come together to learn, share and network.

Sensation and dance4life: SENSATIONAL!

The collaboration between dance4life and Sensation has resulted in an amazing €127.000 being raised. Both an auction, which took place prior to the world premiere of Sensation- Celebrate Life, and part of the ticket sales contributed to this incredible amount. The opening of the Sensation show this Saturday also had a dance4life theme: 160 drumming young people thanked the audience for their support of dance4life.

World Record with Biggest Ever Diski Dance supported by dance4life.

Cape Town, 16 June 2010 – Just before the match of Bafana Bafana against Uruguay, Cape Town celebrated Youth Day with the Biggest Ever Diski Dance. 16,000 visitors of the Cape Town FIFA Fan Fest made history by performing the Diski Dance together, a new world record!

dance4life South Africa events update for World Cup 2010.

During the 2010 World Cup dance4life will participate in several activities throughout the country to inspire and empower young people to take action against HIV and AIDS. On June 16, Youth Day, dance4life supports the Biggest Ever Diski Dance in Cape Town and two days later visitors of the Fair Play for Africa Festival in Umlazi, Durban will dance the special dance4life drill to bring attention to HIV and AIDS and the positive actions youth is taking to respond .

CAMA Festival 2010 rocks Hanoi for a good cause

The CAMA Festival 2010, held in Hanoi last Saturday, hosted a mixed crowd of young and old, locals and expatriates, who had come together to enjoy great music and dance and to support dance4life in the fight against HIV and AIDS.

dance4life South Africa is back in South Africa better than ever! The schools programme in Eastern Cape was officially launched in Cata with a heart connection tour at the Geju High school attended by 250 young people.

dance4life South Africa and Clipper 'Stad Amsterdam' in Cape Town

The unique, sea-faring Clipper 'Stad Amsterdam' will be docked at the Waterfront in Cape Town from the 25th April, at the end of an eight month voyage around the world. While in Cape Town it will form the unique venue for an HIV and AIDS awareness campaign by VSO, an international development charity.

dance4life South Africa kick off, 2010.

dance4life South Africa is back in South Africa better than ever! The schools programme starts this April in Eastern Cape and a nation wide campaign follows in June. With the support of famous people like Desmond Tutu, DJ Tiësto, Goldfish and current ambassador Jenerik Soulz, dance4life is ready to empower youth to push back HIV and AIDS in a positive way.

The alliance of 11 Dutch AIDS organisations, the HIV and AIDS consortium, is shocked by the decision made by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to reject their funding proposal to support their work in developing countries.
