Dutch Minister dances 4Life in Hanoi

18-03-2008

Dance4Life were invited to take part in a network dinner in Hanoi, Vietnam where the Dutch Minister for Development Cooperation, Bert Koenders, and the Minister of Foreign Trade, Frank Heemskerk were guests of honour.

Eveline Aendekerk, MD of Dance4Life International, presented Dance4Life to the 250 people dining, and then the Dance4Life Vietnam Tour Team danced the Drill. After that one of the girls gave a testimonial in Vietnamese and English, stressing that she learned a lot about HIV and AIDS and was no longer afraid to approach people living with HIV. It really was a goose bumps moment. Koenders was then invited on stage on stage and was presented with a Dance4Life framed T-shirt as a token of appreciation. He was visibly moved by the performance and went up and spoke enthusiastically to the Dance4Life young people and the other attendees about the importance of open communication around HIV and AIDS and sexuality.
