National Postcode Lottery support dance4life!

09-02-2009

dance4life is proud to announce that, in the organisation’s 7th year it became an official beneficiary of the prestigious National Postcode Lottery.

The news was announced at the National Postcode Lottery’s annual gala at which Prime Minister Balkenende was the guest speaker.

Founded in 1989, the National Postcode Lottery currently supports 65 charitable organisations with the aim of creating a fairer, greener world by raising much needed funds and generating public awareness. Fifty percent of the NPL’s gross proceeds go directly to various charities in the field of conservation, environmental, developmental aid and human rights.

To date the National Postcode lottery will become one of dance4life’s biggest funders with a partnership that will see the two parties collaborating for the next five years, bringing to life the shared values of optimism and ambition. The support of such an organisation is hugely valuable and complimentary to dance4life’s originality and will enable the charity to reach out to hundreds of thousands of young people worldwide.

“Thanks to the support of the National Postcode Lottery not only can we empower an additional 50,000 young people across the globe every year to take action themselves to push back HIV and AIDS we now also have the opportunity to implement dance4life in nine additional countries this year which is a considerable contribution to creating a true worldwide youth movement.”
Eveline Aendekerk, Managing Director dance4life International
