dance4life UK hijacks T-Mobile karaoke flash mob!
30-04-2009
On April 30th 2009, 13,000 people took over Trafalgar Square for a mass karoke session, organized by T-Mobile for their new flash mob advert. dance4life recruited nearly 500 people to wear dance4life branded T-shirts, attracting a lot of attention and interest.
When the dance4life UK team heard about the event they immediately knew dance4life needed to be part of it too! At the event they gave away nearly 500 dance4life T-shirts to the karaoke singers in Trafalgar Square. The sheer volume of people in T-shirts attracted a lot of attention and resulted in mass viral footage of dance4life branded T-shirts being taken on mobile phones. One of the dance4life team even appeared singing karaoke on the big screen!
dance4life UK, with Pass It On Media, also ran an online competition afterwards: if you spot a dance4life T-shirt in the online footage of the event could win one! This was a call to action for people to look out for the dance4life brand and get involved.
In this way, the dance4life message has been spread through online sites, like twitter, leading to a great campaign and raising awareness about dance4life!
