dance4life South Africa events update for World Cup 2010.

During the 2010 World Cup dance4life will participate in several activities throughout the country to inspire and empower young people to take action against HIV and AIDS. On June 16, Youth Day, dance4life supports the Biggest Ever Diski Dance in Cape Town and two days later visitors of the Fair Play for Africa Festival in Umlazi, Durban will dance the special dance4life drill to bring attention to HIV and AIDS and the positive actions youth is taking to respond .
During the 2010 World Cup dance4life will participate in several activities throughout the country to inspire and empower young people to take action against HIV and AIDS. On June 16, Youth Day, dance4life supports the Biggest Ever Diski Dance in Cape Town and two days later visitors of the Fair Play for Africa Festival in Umlazi, Durban will dance the special dance4life drill to bring attention to HIV and AIDS and the positive actions youth is taking to respond .
Biggest Ever Diski Dance On Wednesday June 16 Cape Town celebrates Youth Day with the Biggest Ever Diski Dance. Just before the match between Banana Bafana and Uruguay the Diski will be performed by 25 000 visitors of the Cape Town FIFA Fan Fest. The record attempt will start with a special dance4life warm-up. dance4life uses the power of dance to inspire and unite youth and therefore dance4life supports the Biggest Ever Diski Dance.
Fair Play for Africa Festival On Friday June 18 the King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, near Durban, is the location for the Fair Play For Africa Festival. Fair Play for Africa is a pan African campaign that aims to make a strong push for universal access to quality health services for African citizens. Besides performances of amongst other dance4life ambassadors Jenerik Soulz and football clinics of former football players like Kalusha Bwalya, dance4life will facilitate a mass performance of the special dance4life drill.
SANEC On June 14 Erica Terpstra, member of the dance4life International Advisory Board, wil be present on an event of SANEC (South African – Netherlands Chamber of Commerce) in Johannesburg. After the match the Netherlands-Denmark Erica Terpstra, who is the former chair of the Dutch Olympic Comittee, will give her views about the World Cup. But she will also put the spotlight on the HIV and AIDS problem in South Africa and present a unique fundraising activity for dance4life South Africa.
Camp I AM To conclude, dance4life is part of “Camp I Am”, a 19-day holiday programme for 6 to 13 year olds. It's will serve as a safe zone during the World Cup for this age group as they are the most vulnerable and schools will be closed over this period. “Camp I AM” is organized by SABCOHA, the South African Business Coalition on HIV and AIDS in cooperation with five organizations that work with children. dance4life, Soul City, loveLife, PlaySoccer and the South African Rugby Legends Association have designed a programme that is both educational and entertaining. Every day dance4life South Africa facilitates a special one hour dance4life activity and our ambassadors Jenerik Soulz will also visit some of the camps.
