NL 2009
In 2009 the dance4life Netherlands team is introducing class4life, a ‘smaller programme’ with the focus on participation per class instead of the whole schools. It’s also the first year that a schools programme is taking place in the so-called ‘gap year’, a year when there isn’t an international event. dance4life Netherlands is aiming to have a minimum of 250 and a maximum of 300 classes participating, spread over 25 to 60 schools throughout The Netherlands. The intention is to create 6,250 new agents of change who will raise at least € 62.500 in 2009. Class4life will be supported by a - mainly online - media campaign. This year the 2nd group of 50 special members have been allocated and they are actively involved in the development of the programme with this year’s kick off at a ‘Special Members Day’ on the 10th of April.
2008
Last year, dance4life in the Netherlands, where it all started, was extremely successful in their efforts to create another fantastic dance4life programme in 2008. All together, 60 schools took part in the heart connection tour and 12,000 agents of change attended the event! Once more, the line up was spectacular with e.g. DJ Tiësto, Jesse Voorn, The Partysquad, Benjamin Bates and Giel Beelen and host Miljuschka Witzenhausen making this event an unforgettable experience. Support actions were fun and rewarding, with football club AJAX playing a game in a dance4life shirt; a design contest with Doritos that resulted in more then 15,000 bag designs being handed in and the dance4life CD release where 20 DJs donated their tracks to dance4life. The students have been very creative and flourishing in their act4life actions, raising more then €350.000!
