The BIG event is now really happening. With a very exciting line-up of performers, the event will be presented by Dynamite MC and will have performances from Tim Westwood (Radio One), Metis, the Royal Academy of Dance and the Brit School of Performing Arts. We are looking forward to launching the Dance4Life UK programme in a massive and successful way.
Tim Westwood is not only known as a Radio 1 DJ and presenter on MTV's Pimp MY Ride UK, but is also regarded as the most influential figure on the hiphop scene in Europe. He's sold over 3 million albums to date, and DJs to over 350,000 clubbers every year! Even 50 Cent described Westwood as "one of the leading DJ's."
Dynamite UK is principally a drum and bass, and hip hop DJ who is just bringing out his third album. This year he's DJ-ed from Brixton to Dubai. He used to be a member of Full Cycle and Reprazent and we're really thrilled he's joined Dance4Life!
Keep an eye open for Dance4Life in the news and if you want to get involved on a more hands-on level then email Dance4Life UK. The BIG event aims to raise awareness of HIV in a really fun and interactive way that uses youth culture to the max! This is an opportunity to celebrate the completion of the Dance4Life school tour as well as raise young people’s awareness of their role as global citizens. The event will unite 500 young people from across the country together to feel motivated and united in their fight for a common cause.
Along with this they will be united with young people from all over the world via satellite links to dance4life and tackle HIV and AIDS. It is a ticket only event taking place from 4– 7 pm on 25th November 2006 at the CC Club, Coventry Street, London.
There is also a charity night at the Neighbourhood Club on 1st December, World AIDS Day, with performers like Dalmon Albarn. For more information about tickets read this, or go to the Dance4Life UK myspace page.
