The dance4life team is back on the road bringing its dynamic HIV/AIDS awareness programme to schools and youth organisations around Ireland.

dance4life arrived in Ireland in 2006 as a pilot programme and visited eight schools. Now, 2009, the programme is fully fledged and it is hoped that the dance4life team will visit 12 schools and youth groups in autumn and winter of this year. 14 arts volunteers have been recruited to help roll out the programme and they join forces with sexual health trainers to deliver the exciting dance4life project.

The team are on target to deliver the dance4life programme to over 1,200 young people in schools, youth organisations and third level institutions across the country.

The Irish dance4life programme is being run by the Irish Family Planning Association (IFPA) and is offered to schools and youth organisations free of charge.

The IFPA has been setting the agenda for sexual and reproductive rights in Ireland for the last 40 years. Today the IFPA offers a comprehensive range of services designed to promote sexual health and support reproductive choice including medical services and crisis pregnancy counselling.
