Dance4Life fans in MexicoYolí Sánchez Neyoy, Consultant from UNFPA working on dance4life Mexico, is really excited about dance4life:
“dance4life’s launch in Mexico is a task of great responsibility. We are planning to reach at least 24,600 young people in two and a half years, and challenges abound. The main challenges are, firstly, creating an advocacy environment that generates all the support necessary for this initiative, and secondly, motivating youth to become proactive agents of change, which is, after all, the heart of the project.

“Fortunately, we are not starting completely from scratch. Government and Civil Society Organizations already have youth programmes targeting HIV, AIDS and youth, and both the government and the private sector are well aware of the importance of prevention as an efficient strategy to respond to HIV and AIDS. But nevertheless, the concept of dance4life is unique in that it unites, coordinates and reinforces elements, normally used in an individual manner, into one dynamic and uniform effort.”
