Together with South Africa and Indonesia, Dance4Life The Netherlands was officially launched in the spring of 2004. During that summer over a hundred thousand of young people got acquainted with Dance4Life being present at several large scale dance events. At the end of September the Schools Project started, and a big multi-media campaign for Dance4Life was launched in October. All working towards D-Day the 27th of November when the Dance4Life event took place; ten thousand Dutch schoolkids ‘danced for life’ in the Gelredome Stadium in Arnhem. At the same time Hollands most famous tv-presentor, Jack Spijkerman, presented a two hour Dance4Life television show. Not only schoolkids and artists were joining Dance4Life; lots of danceclubs, sportclubs and individuals have raised money for Dance4Life.
