Durex

“An initiative embracing dance to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS among young people. A key part of the Durex Network is working with like-minded organisations to raise awareness of the safer sex message. We are delighted that one of our first partnerships has been established with Dance4Life.”

The Global Network of People living with HIV/AIDS (GNP+) is a global network for and by people with HIV and AIDS. The mission of GNP+ is to work to improve the quality of life of people living with HIV. GNP+ supports Dance4Life in ensuring the meaningful participation of PLWHA at all levels of the organisation (development, implementation and governance).

The overall aim of GNP+ is to improve the quality of life of people living with HIV. GNP+ is based on a policy platform, "The Global Advocacy Agenda", which focuses on promoting global access to HIV care and treatment, ending stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV, and promoting the greater and more meaningful involvement of people living with HIV in the decisions that affect their lives and the lives of their communities.

GNP+ works with six affiliated regional networks of people living with HIV. Each of these networks sends two persons to represent its respective region in front of the Board of GNP+. These twelve AIDS activists and advocates form the governing body of GNP+.
