George Acosta
George Acosta, voted the Best DJ in America 2008 by DJ Time, is proud to be a dance4life ambassador. George, originally from Miami, is known as the "trance cowboy" and has been a DJ and producer for over 15 years. He's released several records, owns his own production company, and possesses an international presence in the trance music world.
As fellow DJ Dave Ralph puts it, "George Acosta is probably America's most unique DJ and has undoubtedly been a major force in shaping the sound of trance in Miami and beyond." George Acosta is, in every way, America's biggest representative in the global trance scene. George began his career playing clubs and gigs in Miami as a teenager, but soon began playing at the biggest clubs and festivals across the globe, including Berlin's Love Parade and Miami's Ultra Beach Festival.
In Miami, George is known as the "Trance Conductor" at Miami's Shadow Lounge. His most recent album is "A State of Mind," released in 2007, and he is currently touring with his America's Best DJ Tour, which will bring him back to DC on July 12th. George joined us at the dance4life event in Washington, DC on November 29, 2008.
