Black Mango Music, Dance4Life South Africa
Black Mango Music is a record label run by Africans living in and between London, Johannesburg, Harare and Cape Town. They concentrate on releasing the new wave of African music coming out of the continent. Several of their artists performed at the Dance4Life Event, such as Goldfish and Carla Diamond.
Not only do Black Mango Music have artists who perform around the world, but they are committed to making a difference through the medium of music, especially with hip-hop, which the African youth are very responsive to. The majority of their artists are also from previously disadvantaged areas of South Africa they are young South Africans who have empowered themselves and are making 'change' happen.
"I just wanted to thank you on behalf of Black Mango Music and our artists. We all had an incredible time and really enjoyed the show. Thank you for having the faith in us to put our acts on the line up and for treating us all so well. We are really proud to work with you guys and excited about taking things further."
