From when Fid Q dropped those infamous 16 bars on a featured track 'Ukweli na Uwazi' on the now classic 'Wachuja Nafaka' album, Bongo hip-hop was born again through the sharp lyricism of Fareed Kubanda aka Fid Q! He is without doubt the biggest rapper in Tanzania, and when he appeared at the Dance4Life Event in 2006 the crowd went wild.

He also took part in some of the touring of the schools, and a press conference in his role as Ambassador for Dance4Life. In January 2007 he performed at the World Social Forum in Nairobi, along with other hip-hoppers.
