Durex |
“An initiative embracing dance to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS among young people. A key part of the Durex Network is working with like-minded organisations to raise awareness of the safer sex message. We are delighted that one of our first partnerships has been established with Dance4Life.” Peter Roach, vice president of the Durex Network |

UNFPA
UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, is an international development agency that promotes the right of every woman, man and child to enjoy a life of health and equal opportunity. UNFPA supports countries in using population data for policies and programmes to reduce poverty and to ensure that every pregnancy is wanted, every birth is safe, every young person is free of HIV/AIDS, and every girl and woman is treated with dignity and respect.
Prevention of HIV/AIDS, the centrepiece of UNFPA's fight against the disease, is being integrated into reproductive and sexual health programming around the world. Key priorities are promoting safer sexual behaviour—including delayed sexual initiation—among young people, making sure male and female condoms are readily available and widely and correctly used, and preventing the infection among women and their children.
The UNFPA gives Dance4Life International financial support, and assists in a closer working relationship with Y-PEER. Youth Peer Education Electronic Resource (Y-PEER) is a Web site aimed at supporting the development of youth peer education in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. It is an initiative of the Joint UN Interagency Group on Young People's Health Development and Protection in Europe and Central Asia (IAG), Subcommittee on Peer Education.
